As a family photographer I understand the importance of capturing the bond between a mother and a child. The bond is truly unlike any other. But if you’re anything like me, you’re always the one behind the camera in family photos and hardly ever in them. Even the times I have had professional photos taken, I hide in them. Most of the time I am always so busy worrying about everyone else. I miss the chance to relax and enjoy the session. Plus, for family sessions I like to focus more on my kids, and us being a whole family.
As moms, we spend a lot of our days playing referee, cleaning up messes, changing diapers, and making endless snacks. A motherhood session will give you a chance to be truly present and enjoy your children. With just you. You get to play, snuggle, kiss, and breathe in those sweet little ones.
Motherhood vs Mommy & Me
A Motherhood Journey Session is also called “Mommy and me” sessions. Also, I refer to them as just motherhood sessions. They are typically held just around the Mother’s Day timeframe. However, that shouldn't stop you from scheduling these sessions throughout the year not just Mother's Day. And I’m going to tell you WHY you need a motherhood session this year.
